Sahasradhala Kolam

Sahasradala Kolam (also called Sahasrara or Sahasradala Padma Kolam) is a traditional Indian rangoli design based on a 1000-petal lotus pattern. The word comes from Sanskrit:


  • Sahasra = thousand
  • Dala = petals
  • Padma = lotus



So it means “Thousand-petalled lotus Kolam.” 🌸
